13 Sep summer i love you
This weekend was pretty much an insane filled one. Thursday night, we bid adieu to one third of Pink Lyte at Mi-Bar and the half price cocktails got me quite tipsy and happy to say the least. Friday night was one of those, which party should I go to nights? So we went to both! Check out the Pink Lyte blog to see what went down… sigh.
I spent Saturday trying to get to Pretoria, but the traffic wouldn’t let me, so I curled up in bed with the sun beaming into the bedroom and napped, ate, read, watched Top Gear (by no choice of my own) and napped some more.
Feeling rested and energetic, I spent my Sunday afternoon at 44 Stanley, where a lovely event called SPRING EXTRA BOLD. THE FUTURA LOOKS BRIGHT was held. The whole place was filled with people as all the restaurants were open for business, and live music, art, entertainment and secondhand and vintage lovelies on sale, were the order of the day.
As happy as I am to have summer here, I am concerned about the lack of muscle tone in my body and that my entire wardrobe looks like winter 2010, so I am embarking on a mission to get all my conservative vintage dresses shortened so that I can feel fun, flirty and like a girl of spring and summer.
I bought a dress from my friend Vie – the pink and white candy stripe one, which made all the boys say lovely things about me at my cameo appearance at Pop Bottles
These two lovely ladies caught our attention because the brunette looked like a gorgeous version of Victoria Beckham. They also looked so lovely and ready for the market type vibe that was 44 Stanley Avenue
How cute is Amy from Lost & Found in her cute denim shirt? It’s so hard to find a good denim shirt in a great wash!
This is Junia wearing one of the badges that she makes and sells at a store in 44 Stanley… I wish I could remember which one… sigh
More of Junia’s badges
Vie and Junia looking very lovely and summery
This is Romy. I love her style so very much. I love what she is wearing in this picture because it is such a beautiful marriage between street and girly and I absolutely adore her tights!
These sunnies weren’t on sale… but I loved them, cos they said “Jesus is watching you” to me.
Very Wonder Showzen I say!
