there is absolutely nothing fashion related about this post

I have a secret. I actually like watching sports... even worse I actually know what's going on with sports. I pretend not to because the last time I let a man know that I had my head around what was going on in the world of sports, I paid for it dearly with evenings out at pubs, or sports club, surrounded by girls in over sized jerseys and guys chugging beer. Never again, I told myself. So now I pretend to not care and not know anything.

Yesterday I couldn't pretend not to know. I watched my first World Cup match at Ellis Park stadium with thousands of Argentinian and Nigerian fans and I couldn't help but get swept up in the emotions, the passion and the drinking of Budweiser.

"vuvu-swag" Hemani

phillip 6
Last night I needed to see my little sister because she's going back to Cape Town for work. As a result of the inconvenience of work I have had to squeeze in special time with her over the weekend or in the evening on week days etc. Anyways, I wanted to see my little sister - Sister C- as we call her, so we all missioned to a houseparty in Soweto. It was freezing cold. I met this lovely gorgeous ball of vuvuzela blowing energy Naomi. This cute little girl, recently moved to Soweto with her mother at the beginning of the year, after living in Germany her entire life and she's adjusting like you won't believe.

I bit the title of this post from Hemani who rocked a pair of those SA glasses and added a soccer ball keyring adornment to her doorknocker earring to have what she calls "vuvu-swag." Wish Hemani wasn't off to Oman to teach english on Wednesday cos we need her enthusiasm and swagger here!

Almost time for one of the biggest moments in South African history. I don’t have a jersey or anything yellow and green to wear, but I can blow a vuvuzela (finally)...so I’m set!

who knew a culotte romper could look so cute?

Who knew a culotte romper could look so cute? Sometimes called a skort, because in order for a culotte to be a culotte it needs to look like a skirt, this cutesy item was designed in order to provide more space and freedom to do activities such as horseback riding and gardening etc whilst still maintaining the illusion of wearing a skirt. I love the Victorian Era...
