Lindiwe Suttle x Woolworths Beauty

In keeping with the winter theme Come Together, Woolies have collaborated with the beautiful Lindiwe Suttle to be the new ‘face’ of Winter Beauty at Woolworths and I was lucky enough to ask the lovely, talented and devastatingly fashionable singer some questions. I have only posted some of them here, so catch the rest of them on my Style Scoop blog, where I’ll also list some of the specials at the Woolworths Beauty Festival.

Home to top international brands like Benefit, Lancôme and Sisley, I’m literally going to be swiping my Woolworths card like a crazy person from now until the 1st of May. There’s special offers and gifts with purchases from virtually all of the awesome brands, as well as the opportunity to save R100 on any beauty product purchases of R500 and over, so in all honesty you can’t really be blamed for maxing out your Woolworths card.

And now… I present Lindiwe Suttle

How would you describe your style?

Unique and fearless.

What is there too much of in your wardrobe?

Shoes, shoes, and more shoes, I have always wanted to design a shoe line, so I use to collect vintage shoes for inspiration even if they were not in my size. I am obsessed with shoes.

Who are your favourite designers?

Established designers –Kluk CGDT, Clive Rundle, Suzaan Heyns, Missibaba, David Tlale. Up-and-coming – Kutloano Molokomme, Lara Klawikowski, brand called Skeet—. They have been amazing designers, they all have a talented future ahead of them. They have created memorable on-stage looks for me.

Tell us a secret – where do you shop that no one else knows about?

Country Road for day-to-day wear, I do not think people expect me to shop there because they think my outfits are over-the-top. I think Woolworths was so smart to bring that brand in their stores, it is classic yet edgy.

Do you plan your outfits or throw on whatever is on hand?

Everything I wear is planned out, even my gym clothing.

What’s your sartorial guilty pleasure?

Ida Elsje and Philippa Green’s Olive Green Cat shop. I go in there every week to see what is new, they are so creative it just gives me inspiration to be around them creating new stuff. I love that their workroom is in the shop, it makes the customers feel closely related to with what they will buy.

Whose wardrobe would you love to steal?

Chloë Sevigny, all of her vintage clothing especially.

What’s the last beauty product you bought?

I am one of the Woolworths beauty face this season and I never knew they had so much to offer until I received a goodie bag of products. Their colors are for everyone. I love their long lasting lipsticks, Espresso is my new favorite.

Do you drink 8 glasses of water a day?

No but I should, it’s the best way to keep your skin healthy, it is better than any expensive beauty product.

What websites to you visit the most?

Youtube, Facebook and Twitter are what I am on constantly checking and sending updates. I love staying in touch with fans that I cannot get to. I feel humbled when I get a request for advice or just a kind message on FB from someone I do not even know. These social media sites have truly changed the way we interact with our fans and friends.

What are you favourite cities?

Berlin, Buenos Aires and Cape Town.

What makes you happy?

Unity, love, children, family, music and fashion.
