ted baker: the great exhibitionist and his private views

As if the weather knew that Ted Baker – The Great Exhibitionist – was showcasing or rather unveiling his Spring Summer 2012 collection – clear skies and rays of sunshine were the order of the day yesterday afternoon at the beautiful and scenic Munro Boutique Hotel.
Driving up Munro Drive wearing my wavy (as Tibz and AKA call them) D&G Sunglasses from Sunglass Hut, I thought how lucky I am that I get invited to such lovely events. I mean the hand delivered invitation alone, made it clear to me that this was one of those press days I should not event consider missing.

Whilst sitting and watching the Ted Baker SS12 Collections all I could think and tweet (because I tweet what I think) is that I am going to be a Ted Baker Spring Summer 2012 girl. From the defined waists and full skirts, to the florals – English roses, peonies and cherry blossoms – to the pleated maxi dress and citrus hues of the skirts and blouses, I am committing and declaring right on my blog that I am going to be that girl.

Feminine and lady-like, but also incredibly modern… that is how I would describe the collection. Perhaps it is because I have recently been watching back to back episodes of the current season of Gossip Girl and everything felt like Blair Waldorf – fresh and lady like, but powerful, like Ms Waldorf herself.

I am one of those girls who only owns one pair of jeans and only a select collection of pants, leggings and shorts co-exist in my wardrobe of dresses and skirts. Therefore the Ted Baker Spring Summer Collection with its range of dresses, blouses, shorts and skirts that celebrate the female form (and my body is very female formy), partnered with the beautiful accessories made me very happy and almost like I want to skip winter and jump right ahead to summer.
Ted Baker has a concession at Stuttafords… go past and feel like a lady.
