01 May what I wore at back to the city 2012
This is going to sound incredibly vain…But I really wish I could have a photographer around me all the time (you know what I mean) to document my life and capture moments like the ones below.
On the 27th of April whilst working at Back To The City Festival, photographer Mpumelelo Macu, who’s work you can check out on his website and who’s blog you can also visit, snapped some pictures of me working hard. I know that I am smiling in the one photograph, but I swear I was having a really serious conversation with someone serious about a really serious something.
After waiting months for weather appropriate enough to wear my ‘thumbs up’ 2 Bop sweater, Friday was nice and chilly, which meant I could wear the sweater and not feel like those girls who are already wearing their winter boots, and gasp Uggs (gross) in April. The only problem was that I had to endure people giving me the ‘thumbs up’ the entire festival and pretend each time they did it that it was funny, and that it was the first time some one had ever thought to look at me and give me the ‘thumbs up.’ First World Problems.
