topshop j.w anderson & topshop unique

Just spent my morning at the TopShop in Sandton City for the media preview of J.W Anderson for TopShop and TopShop Unique collections. British designer J.W. Anderson’s second collection for TopShop embodies his quintessential school-girl style with a hint of grunge as leather and shiny jackets, lilac neoprene midriff tops sit amongst amazing knitted jumpers and argyle twinsets, most of which you can buy at TopShop Sandton. I personally fell head over heels for the navy argyle twinset.

Every bit as amazing as the J.W Anderson collection, the TopShop Unique SS 2013 selections in store is made up of ethereal space agey garments in organzas, silk mix wovens, liquid gloss jerseys, sheer, opaque and transparent fabrics that are modern, minimal, feminine and androgynous, hard and soft. There is this incredible grey jumper with zip detail I can’t describe and the printed jacket I instagrammed made me want to sell my car and dedicate payments to buying the entire collection. And don’t get me started on the sheer dress with panels covering the private bits. Most of the items pictured in the images below, which I got from Fashion Telegraph are in store.

Expect a price point that is a lot higher than what you would regularly spend at TopShop for both of these collections as they are designer ranges, so to speak. Also bad news for Durban, but these collections will only be available in the Sandton City TopShop store.
