There ain’t nothing like a little bit of change… I only for a little while. Believe me when I say that the magenta coloured braids will be back, but after hiking in the sweltering heat, bungee jumping off of a 216m high bridge and supporting a braid bun almost as big as my head whilst swimming towards a waterfall with those braids, I needed a trial separation.

As welcomed as the change has been with clients taking me a little bit more seriously when I walk into boardrooms, I do miss the frivolity of my lengthy magenta coloured braids. I miss the instantaneous statement they made and the fact that they allowed me to catch people off guard, as they quickly decided what kind of person I am based on the fact that I had a mass of pink braids attached to my head. I miss my friend Tumi calling me ‘Gentas’ and how easily one could find me in a crowd of people. But mostly I really miss walking past the mirror and seeing a whole lot of magenta.

I really like this look on you- the short hair and the soft colours of the skirt and the clutch. 🙂

What colour are those braids, though? I feel a hair adventure of my own coming on, and I'll need to know what to ask for when buying extensions…
