17 Apr Nike and Liberty London reveal summer 2014 collection
Post my Air Max Appreciation week, I have been inundated with emails and Facebook inbox messages from ladies keen to try incorporating a pair of sneakers into their wardrobes, with the most popular questions being:What style should I try?
The Air Max 1 followed by the Roshe Run.
Why? Both are really comfortable and come in super cute colourways.
Where can I get the gold Air Max 1s?
I hate being that person, but as far as I know the liquid gold Air Max 1s were not retailed in SA. I bought mine last year in October online at Patta, and they are sold out there and on most of the other online stores I shop at.
Where can I buy a pair of sneakers?
Shelflife and Shesha. Sometimes the Nike Factory in Woodmead have samples on sale and you and get some really amazing sneakers.
Now, for some serious serious talk.
Nike’s newest collaboration with Liberty London. The collection is made up of a wide range of Nike styles from my favourite icon, the Air Max 1 to the more modern rendition of a sneaker; the Nike Dunk Sky Hi. Wrapped in an assortment of three of the timeless Liberty London signature floral prints: Anoosha, a 1930s print featuring blossoms and bell flowers; Lora, a print based on a 1970s version of William Morris’s “Willow” pattern; and Crown, a design based on various paisley block prints from Liberty’s Merton print works from the late 19th to early 20th century.Earmarked for a summer release, I reckon that the collection is all season friendly. The Nike x Liberty footwear and apparel collection launches exclusively in Liberty London on the 7th of April 2014 and at Nike retailers globally from the 7th of May 7 2014, which I am going to stalk because the Roshe’s and Air Max 1s shown in this post are currently out of stock online at Liberty London.
