Uptowns

teeteeiswithme 0I know what you guys are thinking… Does Thithi have any other shoes though? I mean she stays posting looks in these Uptowns. Well… I do have other shoes and sneakers, but these are the perfect summer sneakers. Their only flaw is that they can get quite filthy when worn out in public spaces like parties or clubs. For those who are wondering (and care) about how I keep my sneakers clean I use Jason Markk, Sneaker Lab or Footlocker’s Instant Sneaker Cleaner.

Sans the propensity to get dirty when around other mere mortals, the Nike Air Force 1 Lows are absolute perfection. I have always felt that even with its heritage rooted in sportswear that there is something about the shape of the Air Force 1 that makes it wearable within a fashion space. Not sure if it is the simplicity meets functionality, or that my high-brow taste is into the fact that the cathedral at Notre Dame inspired how Bruce Kilgore approached the design challenge of how to make the higher midsole of the Air Force 1 due to the air  unit more stable, but I have always looked at the Air Force 1 highs and lows and thought that is a really good shoe.

In this post I have paired my current favourite sneakers with this dress from H&M. My general approach to pieces in my wardrobe is that they should be versatile and transitional and this H&M dress is the epitome of  a versatile and transitional piece because it embodies casual glamour – the term I like to use to describe my style.Perfect for a smart casual launch event when paired with heels or for THE WKND SOCIAL when paired with sneakers, this black dress is kind of the perfect little black dress; because of its cutouts appeal to the current fashion trends and  slightly flared and layered skirt, makes it slightly unique. On its own it makes a statement. teeteeiswithme 1teeteeiswithme 5teeteeiswithme 4teeteeiswithme 6
