Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Africa in Kisua

Last week was Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Africa and I was lucky enough to look super grown up, stylish and sit FROW with Aimee Song of Song Of Style in a KISUA skirt and white Levi’s mens shirt. Established in late 2013 by Sam Mensah, KISUA – which means ‘well dressed person’ in Swahili – is an online shopping platform that gives gifted up-and-coming African based designers the infrastructural support as well as access to the international market via their KISUA Collaborates programme.

In addition to the KISUA Collaborates collections, KISUA has recently launched Hariri – which means ‘edit’ in Swahili.  This internal brand from the KISUA design team is modern and effortless and their Pre-Fall collection, which this Mombasa high-waisted skirt is from, is inspired by “African art and architecture and celebrates female individuality and strength.”
