Win with Spree

Win With SpreeA couple of weeks ago Spree hosted an A/W 2015 Collections preview event in Cape Town where they offered a ‘Spree’ perspective on the upcoming Autumn Winter season. In the words of Spree’s fashion director Chris Viljoen “The essence of this winter’s fashion lies in enveloping yourself in cozy layers, blanket capes and large, snug coats. The shapes are forward thinking but the mood is nostalgic,” which is why this look from the Spree A/W 2015 lookbook is my personal A/W 2015 look. Snug coats  and knits fill my wardrobe and my number 1 winter purchase recommendation (along with ankle boots) because they allow you to wear your classic S/S clothing throughout winter whilst still keeping warm.

To celebrate the chill with Spree, I am giving away a R500 Spree voucher to one of my readers. All you have to do to win with Spree and me is tell me what you love about the look by commenting on the post. So easy!

I hate winter because I never know how to dress for it., This outfit from Spree wins and it is definitely one I would wear with ease. I love the coat. I love the colours in this look and they are ones I would wear well at work and out wildin’.

I love your mix of prints so different but they work so well, the pale blue jacket love that colour feminine and soft to off set the bold print/patterns of the skirt and top. And any and every Autumn/Winter look has to have the floppy hat I so need one of those this year so chic and sleek. Overall I love your look its fun, feminine with its quirky touches and prints its really unique. 🙂

    Kind regards

I personally hate winter with the same passion I love summer. I literally weep after my birthday month (March) because I know from there onwards it’s straight A/W time (sighs) meaning darks colors and heavy things and bad layering. What I love is that this is like the perfect outfit I’d wear right now because it would feel like I didn’t let go of summer but only acknowledging that winter is on it’s way. A/W always comes in dark and deep colors but instead the pastel light colors here are very summery. And assures me the clothes are light for throughout the day but also warm to wear throughout the night’s breeze. And the hat is obviously makes this outfit trendy because everyone now “hats” the outfit and here it fits like a glove thanks to the black features in the top and skirt.

The COAT! Oh, the COAT! Is it safe to guess that it is the warm element in the outfit? Look, dressing in Winter can be a style headache because, layers and laundry AND cold! But this look totally flips the script on that with the monochrome crop and skirt combo, which is something that would be worn in Summer… throw in this baby-blue thigh-length gem, though, and you have a full winter winner. You get the style and the warmth without the piles of layers. As a student, I would make this outfit campus-friendly by trading the skirt for a pair of high waisted skinnies.

the look is fashion foward/trendy without trying too hard. its also a nice twist to a winter outfit: you dont always have to wear pants! the colours compliment each other yet all stand out. stunning look overall!

Oh my Gosh….can we talk about HATS??? Definitely this seasons’ must have accessory! I love the long-line blazer ties the look together (the colour is perfect for winter). Totally love the crop top and monochrome high-waist skirt, I am glad we able to bring that trend right into Autumn with us!! The houndstooth crop top is also perfect for winter with high-waist pants!! I absolutely love the look…

I love that I can dress these four pieces separately with my basic. The blue Jacket can be paired with the top, denim or black trousers, finish off with heels or sneakers voila! The skirt can go with a classic white or blue shirt , a basic t-shirt can also work, finish off with sneakers or heels. I can team up the top with black trousers, denim or a black leather skirt, finish off with sneakers or heels. depending on what type of look I am aiming for. Not forgetting the hat which adds the je ne sais quoi!
