29 May Borrowed From The Boys
If I was a boy, I’d dress like this; but I’m not a boy and I still dress like this. From Diane Keaton in Annie Hall to Marlene Dietrich’s affinity for masculine style, borrowing from the boys isn’t a new thing. The other day I was doing an interview for UFL and the editor asked me about my personal style and I realised that having a masculine edge to whatever I wear is something that is absolutely integral to how I wear my clothes. From swinging a boyish blazer or varsity jacket over a girly dress, to wearing an oversized mens tuxedo shirt with a pair of skinny jeans to choosing masculine shoe silhouettes like brogues, loafers and chelsea boots; wearing something super feminine and f*cking it up with something borrowed from the boys is something I would say is essential to me feeling like me in my clothing.
