10 Dec ShopSA | Work Shop New Town
It’s been a while since I have done a ShopSA blogpost, so it is very exciting for me to post this ShopSA | Work Shop New Town post, because discovery cool spots where local retailers retail isn’t as easy as one thinks it is. Inspired by the Potato Sheds built in 1911, a bustling market that was known for being a hub for business and entrepreneurial success, WORK SHOP NEW TOWN is a “retail environment divided into designated areas, shops and booths that pay tribute to the goldmines, markets, livestock stalls, cultural icons, industry and office workers that made Newtown the gateway to the city over 100 years ago.”
Located adjacent to Newtown Junction shopping mall, WORK SHOP NEW TOWN is currently home to some of the most amazing local retailers like Famke and Maxhosa from Cape Town, Black Coffee, Kisua, Wolf and Maiden – a leather goods store that boasts some amazing leather bags and this great toiletry bag I totally fell for when going past their booth, Pichulik, Dr Pachanga, Gold Street, Vernac Bags and a great nail bar called Glitter to name a few.
