01 Mar The Desert Series In Collaboration With Gold Creatures | Part 2
Part 2 of THE DESERT SERIES IN COLLABORATION WITH GOLD CREATURES was inspired by Fall Winter Trends continued love affair with the Seventies.
If the runway is anything to go by, we can expect to see a lot Seventies inspired suede, fur, wool, velvet, brocade and lace in any variation this Fall / Winter. Black, white and common-place nudes and tans will still be popular, but after seeing some of the runway shows and streetstyle images from Fashion Weeks, optical prints, bursts of sugary pastels, yellows, oranges and greens are just some of the shades challenging the minimalist monotony of all the black, white and grey we have seen of late on Instagram.
I love black and white and grey because of how simple and easy and effortlessly stylish it is… In fact, when it comes to colour and consumer perception: black is seen as powerful and sleek and used to market luxury products (KISSmetrics, 2010). When you put two and two together, one can deduce that the sure fire way to come across as stylish is to wear head to toe black or white or grey. Nothing wrong with that, it has become my life, due to the simple necessity to own less. I do however, have a wonderful appreciation for those who clash prints, colours, fabrics and textures, which is why I am excited for winter and to go fish out all my colour and print. – Thithi
