I am all about value for money so anything that comes in a 2-in-1, buy 2 and get 1 free promotional campaign or concept, you better believe that I will be interested. The downfall about this approach is that more so than often you do kind of get the short end of the stick, because in essence should something really be able to serve more than one purpose? Think about a pencil with an eraser at the end. The truth is: that eraser sucks; it smudges and streaks, so really it is just better to buy a pencil and a separate eraser.

Now that I have rambled on unnecessarily, I will say that the analogy above is not the case with OPI’s Start to Finish 2-in-1 base and top coat. Designed to strengthen, whilst shielding nails from being stained by darker coloured nail polishes it doesn’t really perform as ridge filler, but it does smooth out the nail bed a little. As a top coat it is the most resilient I have come across in a while. I ran a tiny experiment before doing this blog post and applied the OPI Start to Finish on my one hand and left the nails on my right hand untouched with top coat. I will say that two days later my left hand looks somewhat freshly painted and my right hand looks like it belongs to an unkempt girl who doesn’t respect nail polish. (Yes. Chipped nail polish is a proper pet peeve of mine).

It’s kind of cool to be Alexa Chung at the moment and Italian footwear brand Superga knows this. As the creative director of their UK Spring/Summer 2012 campaign, the very cool Ms Chung was basically told by Superga to “go create” with free reign to style the shoot whichever way her fashionable heart desired. Working with renowned photographer Guy Aroche Ms Chung wears her kicks the way I wear mine, with cute dresses and an attitude that says I know this kinda doesn’t match or go together, but I think it looks dope. I am in love with the taupe coloured Superga’s she’s wearing in the car.

I literally have not had a watch for about 5 years simply because I have ridiculously small wrists. My affinity for more masculine type style watches doesn't help either because it means that the entire face of the watch fits across my stupidly tiny wrist and looks a bit like I'm playing with a giants watch or something.
With all that said, I still spend a lot of time drooling over watches and admiring other people's time pieces. Right now, at this exact moment, if someone loved me, they'd buy me a Big Ben FLüD watch in gold. And if they really wanted to make me swoon, they'd get me the turquoise one too.

Yesterday was the start of week 2 of my Today I Am Wearing feature on Glamour's website. Once again I am lucky to have the photographic talents of my lovely photographer friend Stephanie O'Connor to capture my daily wardrobe escapades. Check out her blog and work on www.connorvarinblog.com.

Doing this feature on Glamour has been both really exciting, but also quite nerve wracking because you really want to put your best foot forward everyday. Not to say that I have some dodgy outfits or clothing out there, but you want to look decent and atleast like the pictures a couple of weeks from now and not think OMF! What the hell was I wearing?

I now have a new found respect for bloggers like Karla from Karla's Closet and Karen Blanchard from Where Did u Get That because documenting your wardrobe and what you wear on a daily or weekly basis is actually quite a feat.

Last year I was lucky enough to be flown down to Cape Town for the J&B Met... why you gotta love religion

The first time I felt like I could totally dig the Religion aesthetic was when I pulled a pair of high waisted latexy leather panelled leggings for a shoot I was styling. They totally oozed sex and if they weren't in a rake thin person's size I would have totally not returned the sample and kept them for myself. Just joking. I would never do that.

Anyways, my point is that was the first item from Religion that made go "oh f*ck, I think I like this shi*." Excuse all my french, but that's exactly what I thought and said to myself. Then I went to the sale and kept loitering around the store at 44 Stanley Avenue and Stuttafords and now I am lucky enough to own a few epic (word I have decided to use quite a bit this month) pieces of Religion clothing, like an incredible utility men's jacket, a couple of dresses and grey long sleeve top with a woven front.

So I guess what I have been trying to say all along is: how incredible is the black one shoulder dress with that epic mesh statement shoulder detail from the Autumn 2011 collection, which I think if I heard correctly will be in stores here in SA soon? Gaaaaaa!

Happy Friday everybody! I'm down in Stellenbosch, doing the Western Cape thing for work and how apt that my #FF shout out this Friday goes to Nicci St Bruce - a Capetonian. You might know her from her own blog CityKidsSting, or as the first and only lady of Bitches Must Know, or as the owner of VAMP Clothing; but I know her as the chick I met at STR.CRD wearing these dope gold NSW kicks and a fellow red wine lover on the search for the biggest glass ever. Q: Would you wear yellow? Like canary yellow, yellow?

A: I can't say yellow brings out the best in me because my skin has a more yellow undertone than pink, but I went through a massive yellow phase in 2007. I'm talking yellow heels, yellow hairbands, yellow nails, the works. At the time it was fun but these days I stick to grey,black, white and royal blues mostly. It makes getting dressed quickly easier.

Q: Would you ever move to Johannesburg? If not, why?

A: I would LOVE to live in Joburg! I had the maddest time there in the week leading up to and after STR CRD (where I met you TA DA), and even tried to convince the boyfriend to move there but he was NOT all for it. I'm working on it though, Joburg people are so friendly and genuinely want to get to know you/buy you drinks/show you the best time. I love the pace Jozi runs at. I could get used to it.

Q: What is your favourite city in the world and why?

A: My favourite city in the world is Bangkok, with Berlin coming in a close second. There is something about Bangkok that I can't describe, but I can't seem to forget. It's not the most comfortable city in the world, it's unbearably hot and humid (I prefer the crisp cold) and the smells are less than pleasing to the olfactory senses but you put that aside when you realize that a) it's not going to go away and b) you're in one of the most culturally rich cities in the world.

Q: If you could add anything to your wardrobe what would it be?

A: I hope and dream for a strapless bra that actually stays true to its purpose! I've yet to find one that doesn't make my boobs look like balloon animals.

Q: What is your ultimate pet peeve as in when you see it happening you want to punch someone in the neck?

A: My ultimate pet peeve is when people treat animals badly. I go to DARG and see animals that have been abused and neglected and it makes my blood boil. I think people need to be a lot more careful with the decisions they make. A lot of the dogs and cats at DARG were puppies and kittens who grew up after being Christmas gifts and were left on doorsteps or simply dumped at the harbour. My cat, Catty was found in a plastic bag in a bin at the docks 2 years ago after christmas. I can't believe people can be so insanely cruel.

On a different note, but not really, my favourite male artist of 2011 is Kendrick Lamar. I have literally played Section 80 in my car, on my phone, in the office so many times, someone has take the disc away from me. The angst and commentary on our generation in A.D.H.D resonated as I read Bret Easton Ellis's Less Than Zero. I can't explain it, but if you have read the book, perhaps you understand what I'm trying to say. Tracks like Rigamortus, F*ck You Ethnicity and of course the acclaimed HiiiPower were the ones I hit repeat on beside A.D.H.D.

personal shopping experience at stuttafords

Earlier this month I was lucky enough to win a Sass shopping voucher / shopping experience from Stuttafords with their 2011 XMas Brands competition and because Sandton was the closest Stuttafords to me, my experience included a personal shopper.
Having had personal aspirations of being a personal shopper myself, because in reality I prefer to source or look for clothing for other people, I was keen to see how this works and if it really is sort of a dream job and dream experience for the shopper. Beside the fact that the entire thing was free, the best part about the personal shopping experience at the Sandton Stuttafords was the private changerooms and the fact that you can walk out of the changeroom and ask someone who has nothing invested in how you feel after they tell you the truth “what do you think?”
I normally don’t have fun shopping with someone else when I am shopping by myself, because I feel a bit like I already know what I want and need, so I don’t really need anyone else’s opinion, but it was nice to have someone who actually made me try on a maxi dress I would have never tried on, and look at a top I would never have thought was me.

It's been a while since I blogged about the simple pleasure of cheersing (I know that's not a word auto-correct) to the freakin weekend. And this coming weekend definitely deserves a young cheers because its New Year's Eve. Whilst letting the Jameson sink in (what else would I be drinking) on the 31st of December I will say thank you to 2011 for the lessons and the hardships, but also for the blessings in disguise and warning 2012 about how I'm going to whoop its ass, because 2011 whooped mine. I don't know if you can tell, but I am really not good at being in front of the the camera. In fact I get a mini panic attack every time a camera is pointed anywhere in my direction. However, I need to get over this fear, because I am going to be contributing to Glamour Magazine's online feature titled: What I Wore in January. So I thought I'd get some practice in before I need to actually roll out the outfits, poses and photographs on a daily basis. I think I need to watch more ANTM...

I am literally vomiting a little bit in my mouth as I type this, because I am about to share with my little blog world that I am actually listening to and enjoying immensely a Drake song. I suppose what's also helping me enjoy this track is the fact that I am making myself forget that the singing is being done by a so called rapper. Besides the fact that I find his face annoyingly obnoxious. I just can't seem to take Drake seriously, I never have been able to, even though if you get enough booze in me, you'll find me dancing to his tracks in the club (I'm not about to lie now).

Even though I generally agree with Big Ghost Chronicles review of Take Care, I'm a girl, so I'm allowed to like this soft-a** track. Doing It Wrong by Drake is a pretty song (something, I should not be saying about a song produced by an alleged rapper, but hey). With hooks like...

a couple of words

A while ago, an anonymous reader told me that this blog is not my diary and I really took that to heart and started curating my posts. However, today on Christmas Eve, I would like to just ramble a little. I figure seeing as I had a Twitter meltdown so to speak, where I actually gave an indication to whoever managed to see the tweets, what was unfolding in my life, I can have for atleast one post a year the freedom to get a little bit personal. But only a little.

This year has been rough. From start right through to the finish, this year has seriously kicked my ass. With that being said, and with all the drama unfolding in my life, today I felt whole for the first time this year. It is a strange thing to say in light of the fact that in this week I went through something so terrible and uncool it made me question a lot of things. I learnt that people you think you know can turn out to be strangers to you, and that even you yourself can turn out to be someone you never expected to be. So to feel whole and like me again is a weird and welcomed feeling.

Long story short, yesterday as I was driving from Helen Joseph hospital, in that horrible rain storm I saw a lady walking in the rain. With parts of the road flooded, her shoes and clothes were drenched and she didn't have an umbrella or anything. I tried to continue driving, but I couldn't so I stopped and gave her my umbrella. I tried to drive away satisfied with my kind deed for the day (seeking some form of redemption for my behaviour, I think) but I couldn't. So I offered her a lift to where ever she was going. I trusted in the act of kindness.

Being kind is one of those things I have always prided myself as being. I would never describe myself as sweet or nice, in fact I am a little bit of a bitch, but being kind - that I know I am. I haven't been kind to myself this year and by default that means that I haven't been kind to other people.

So, today on Christmas Eve, I am letting go of my generally Grinch-like ways and saying be kind. Even if it is just because it is Christmas on Sunday.

Whilst doing some Secret Santa shopping, I found this accessories brand at Stuttafords called Icon Brand. Producing both men and women's accessories, the Icon Brand caught my eye because of the skulls, the hand oxidized look of the jewellery, the studs (which I love) and the slightly masculine elements of the women's jewellery.

Inspiration comes from many places and I am one of those people who is blessed to be inspired everyday by the people in my life. My friend Nomi is one of those inspirations. Funny, lovely and beautiful, Nomi Matlala follows her dreams, makes you feel loved, cooks one mean meal and most of all, she lives life like there is no tomorrow. Q: How do your clothes and style connect to your lifestyle?

A: My life is pretty diverse at the moment. I'm between Visa (events), Nom Nom Nomi (blogging and cooking), Siemens, Bosch and Gagganeau (ambassador) and being a aunty to my little Amani. I try keep it simple/ solid/ chic with a hint of print because my curves tend to tell their own story *hand in front of eyes* and flats only when I have to!!

Q: What would you add to your wardrobe if you could anything?

A: I’m really bad at shopping for clothing and shoes. I would add 7 solid DVF dresses. You can dress them up and down for summer and winter. And maybe 6 pairs of heels and 2 pairs of sandals… I guess…

Q: Who or what inspires you?

A: I’m constantly subconsciously reacting to what I see. Like the lady that dresses really badly in the office inspires me to dress with purpose when I go to work. Kids inspire me to make sure that I follow through in my plan to make sure all schools have canteens. My friends inspire me to be cool and friendly because they are all so damn Kool and social!! Bad and good service inspires me to give the best service as a daughter, friend, lovebug, colleague, chef, writer, customer and fellow human.

Q: What makes you happy?

A: Tastegasims, breaking bread with family and friends, sun on my skin, driving, doodling, falling in love, live music, quiet Sundays with a little bit of Beuno Vista Social Club in the background, reading www.teeteeiswithme.com, discovering that you are grown up enough to like a certain ingredient, kissing, water – drinking it from the tap, swimming, when it rains… and most of all, falling asleep!

Q: What made you decide to go to culinary school in the South of France?

I just got back from Cape Town after a hectic two days of talking marketing and decided to do what makes me happiest besides shopping and drinking tea: blog surfing and drinking tea. Whilst looking through the Tumblr's I follow I came across Anthony Bila's post on the French Connection store opening, which I missed because I was in Stellenbosch (enormous sad face). Hong Kong is an efficient place and very clean and I like Johannesburg and Beijing, for their pulse and cultural diversity. And where did I wear this outfit might you ask? Out at Red Bull Beat Battle where I was working behind the scenes. I have a rule: just because you're working behind the scenes at an event, doesn't mean you're allowed to look like you're going camping. In fact, you're never allowed to look like you're going camping, even when you are going camping. So with this rule in mind, and my walky talky looking all official and ish, I wore a slouchy tribal print jacket from Australian label Sass from Stuttafords, paired with a pair of brown slouchy shorts from Gap, a leopard print blouse from Top Shop and of course a pair of pink Vans. My weeks and weekends are becoming increasingly manic and full of work, so it has been a minute since I posted on two things I loved this week because I suppose it is a little bit difficult to take time out and say "you know what, that was a good time" or "that was really lovely and I enjoyed it."

This week I loved:

1. The Religion Sale at Styling Concepts. I bought some incredible items marked down to basically nothing.

2. Junk On Me's 8th Birthday Party at Changeroom, Pimville. What a good day / night out. All I really want to say about this party is that - there is so much stuff to do in Johannesburg and so many people to meet at all these things. Also, that Kid Fonque is dangerously talented, Kenzhero is amazing and VigiLante and Dimplez honestly made my evening on Saturday.

Look I know I am pretty lucky. My job is fun, I actually do love Red Bull the actual drink, and besides the fact that all I want to do is go on holiday, I am really blessed. However, I do need to say FML - that is F*ck My Life - because I missed MF DOOM at RBMA in Madrid. Anyone who knows me knows I love DOOM, so when people were tweeting and sending me pictures from his lecture and his performance, I was just pissed off. Happy for them, but pissed off. There is nothing worse than AMO (Actually Missing Out). I mean I thought that FOMO was bad, but AMO is the absolute worst. I'm very emotional about this. Emotional and gutted. I mean it was enough that my friend Alex Nash aka Nashmoney got to meet him when he designed the Puma Sneaker Speaker, and get this...wear his mask! That was hard enough to deal with, now this.

Anyways, if you are a MF DOOM fan you need to watch the video on the RBMA website. Normally I wouldn't urge anyone strongly to watch anything via vimeo, but this is worth it, DOOM is worth it.

Q: You like shopping. I know you do. Why do you like shopping?

A: What is not to love? I love browsing as much as the actual buying. I am very much a decisive shopper, I know almost immediately if I will buy something or not, even before I try something on. I love adding goodies to my home or my wardrobe. I love getting home and unwrapping my new purchases and packing them away in their place. My wardrobe is divided into two sections: firstly the actual wardrobe where all my clothes go and secondly a rail where I hang all my favourite items... these change constantly. Most of my friends live with their boyfriends, I don't so I feel like I should completely enjoy taking up the entire cupboard and having a rail in my room if I want. (I'll tell you a secret: the cupboard in my dining room area is actually full of shoes!). I also really love shopping for my home, I love trolling bric-a-brac stores with my mum looking for treasure and collect vintage tea cups. My latest purchase was the most gorgeous Tiaan Nagel grey pants, a ceramic skull, a Country Road draped body suit and the Elle Decoration UK Magazine, and some lemonade, the new Woolies one is amazing!

Q: What would you add to your wardrobe if you could anything?

A: A sensational Lanvin dress, a pair of Miu Miu glitter booties and a beautiful piece of art.

Q: What is your favourite city in the world?

A: Eeek, how can you make me decide? Definitely Paris, because I lived there for a year and got to know the non tourist part of the city and then Mumbai, my boyfriend I visited there last year and I just cannot wait to go back. It is indescribable. I would really like to explore more of the east, I can feel China calling.

Q: What makes you happy?

A: Sundays, definitely my favourite day of the week. I sleep late, and have a delicious breakfast with my boyfriend, we then go to my parents house for a big Sunday lunch. Who ever is in town comes around, and we cook, eat, chat, laugh, swim. The table is always full of my sisters, my niece (who I am obsessed with), cousins, friends etc. We sometimes argue, of course, and we have a list of topics which we have argued to death, so much so, that we are not allowed to talk to about them anymore. I always leave the house feeling happy. And of course pretty shoes.

Q: Can you make pasta from scratch? As in the actual pasta? (I feel like you can, because you can do pretty much anything...)

A: I wish! Now you gave me a challenge.

Emkay is one of my best friends in the whole wide world. We went to the same high school. She's brilliantly awesome and I love her loads and loads. I love her style and love that she' s a music geek. She's one of my best friends and I really think you guys will love her too.

Q: How do your clothes and style connect to your lifestyle?

A: Well believe it or not I have quite a simple life. I don't really go partying or clubbing etc and I guess I'm at that age where most of my life is spent working (bleh!). I work in advertising so can get away with pretty much anything, but I do like to look decent and well groomed so I take great care in planning my outfits on the daily. I love to wear pretty dresses, but lately my favourite thing to wear is my raw denim super skinny's rolled up at the bottom with a crisp white shirt (top buttoned up) and my super femme vintage brooch which was a gift from Tiisetso. So to answer your question my style has evolved to be quite simple, feminine, balanced, but still with slight edge, and lots of playfulness. I guess my style connects with my lifestyle because my lifestyle is also just that, its uncomplicated.

Q. What would you add to your wardrobe if you could anything?

A: As you know I don't really wear heels, I find them atrociously uncomfortable and severely painful. Not to mention the after effects (euww!). But I will say this past year has had me changing my mind and lusting after these....

Q: Where's your favourite place to be?

A: My favourite place to be is probably with my family. I don't get to spend enough time with them living away from home, but I keep in constant touch with all of them. There's just a certain comfort that comes with being with family that really is unrivalled. That being said my friends are also part of my family so being with them warms my heart too!

Q: What makes you happy?

A: Wow, this is actually a hard question. Being the control freak I am, I'm inclined to say 'when things go my way'. But ok what really makes me happy (besides my family and loved ones) is succeeding at achieving my goals. I'm quite ambitious and driven, I set goals for myself as I go along, some big, some small and the feeling you get when you can tick something off the list, that pride in yourself is priceless. So what makes me happy I guess is when my dreams come to fruition. On a daily level as well as in the bigger scheme of things. This doesn't necessarily relate to just career by the way, just generally in life I think its important to be able to look ahead and to measure where you are as you go along and to celebrate the milestones.

But,

The real real real thing that makes me happy is music. It's why I love dj'ing. As you know I'm a big music head and honestly there's a wide variety of emotion that I derive from listening to (and playing) music - all of them combined is absolute happiness.

Q: And lastly how do you feel about being on of my best friends? (yes this is a serious question)

I feel incredibly blessed my friend. Very few people in the entire world understand and get me like you do and that means so much to me. I appreciate the fact that I can go for weeks (ok I lie a week) without talking to you, but when we do catch up it always feels like home. I love your honesty and your dramatics. Seriously Thithi what would I do without your 'OMG!!' moments? Most importantly you've always had my back and you're one of the most loyal people I know. And how could I resist that smile... ( Oh and we totally need to go to Europe again before we get too old and have kids and are actually responsible for other human beings). All in all I'm happy to have you in my life
and I will do everything I can to keep it that way.

Q: Do you own anything you can’t get rid of?

A: Do I own anything I absolutely can't get rid of of? i.e. even though it doesn’t fit me anymore or something? Hehe! If you ask my mom she'll tell you I'm a hoarder mostly because I feel like if I get rid of stuff then I've wasted money, so I try not to buy one season wonders i.e. most of my stuff I would never want to get rid of, but if I were to get specific I'd say stuff like passed down family jewellery, or amazing second hand pieces which I've found.

Q: Where is my favourite place to be?

A: Eish that depends a lot on the mood I'm in, but the first answer which pops into my head is in Jozi city and fluctuates to Swaziland because it's calm and green and lush... So sometimes when things just get too busy and too much I like to leave Jozi and retreat out, and then come back and fully appreciate my city.

Q: What was the last thing I bought?

A: Besides food because it's my favourite thing I recently found some awesome pieces at Maria's vintage stall at the Night Market on Main and a cool Adidas Joburg hoodie at STR.CRD.

Q: How do your clothes and your style connect to your lifestyle?

A: My lifestyle - like my style - is a bit schizophrenic and chameleon like and I think it's all based on living in Jozi where every day of the week you can move in so many different circles. In my professional capacity I have to wear a specific set of clothes - a uniform, so it's a matter of staying within the bounds of what is required and appropriate and professional, but also not forgetting that you can still be stylish and unique without having to look like a penguin. I guess also that my underlying or defining style principle is that style has nothing to do with price - it's art for me - I like trends but I like finding individual pieces which reflect that, and so i guess I just like being able to flow between the social circles that I run in. make sense?

Right, so I reckon ever since Beyonce featured Tofo Tofo - the Mozambican pantsula dance crew in her video for Run The World isiPantsula dancing should be somewhat familiar to the regular Tom, Dick and Jabulani in South Africa.

I am pretty sure those of you who read this blog regularly never expected to see a blog post on isiPantsula dancing, but here it is. Inspired by my love of my black on black converse sneakers, Beyonce and her sick video and most importantly the work I am currently doing on Red Bull Beat Battle, which takes place on the 19th of November, I had to share with you this picture of an awesome crew called Real Actions. A couple of weeks ago... Actually probably a full month ago I invited some of my friends for a session at the Bobbi Brown Counter at the Edgars at Sandton. Food, champers and a make up class on how to wear a natural face were the order of the day. I think for the next session which is in November I'll give away some spots to this awesome session. secret diary of a call girl

Whilst everyone spent the entire weekend having fun, I warded off my FOMO, by watching one of my favourite series Secret Diary of a Call Girl. Four seasons later accompanied with some whiskey sours and popcorn, I actually managed to forget that I’d missed out on seeing Coldplay live, and that I didn’t take up the offer to fly down to Cape Town for Rocking The Daisies and that I had given up my spot to experience the Macufe Festival in Bloemfontein.

This show is really brilliant. I love watching Billie Piper, who I first remember as a pop princess, play this awesome character Hannah / Belle, who I in someways, ways I don’t really want to think about identify with. Get your mind out of the gutter dammit!

As I recapped on season 2, and moved into 3 and 4, I noticed that the styling of the show became more ‘fashion’ as Guiliana would say on Fashion Police. Hannah / Belle started to look and feel more like a Carrie Bradshaw in London. And like Carrie Bradshaw, sometimes the looks felt contrived and were quite painful to watch like the look she wore in the New York episode, but most of the looks are just downright sexy and for lack of a better word bangable. If you haven't watched this series yet you need to. I feel like you'll love it.

I've developed a really bad habit of not reading press releases anymore, but for some unknown reason I opened this one and thought that maybe I should share with you that Robyn Cooke and Neil Doveton are now part of 36Boutiques. Robyn is Head of Content and Neil Doveton is Head of Menswear. I am so excited for this is going to bring for 36Boutiques, because as far as I'm concerned because of this the world of online fashion retail is going to change.

So life's been pretty shit this month. But not shit as in it sucks balls, but shit as in I've been so busy I haven't had a chance to blog, take photos for the blog or sort out the fact that my camera to take photos for my blog is broken. I'm not complaining though... being busy is good, fulfilling and actually quite engaging at this moment in my life. Plus, everything I've been busy on is pretty amazing and I can't really believe that people are coming to me or asking me to be part of some of these initiatives.

For those of you who saw me at STR.CRD, you know how manic and crazy it was for me. I'm pretty sure that if you saw me, I was probably running somewhere with a case of Red Bull or two or three or four. The event was dope and a lot of hard work for me and I really didn't have time to take photos, but I managed a few shots of the cutest kid I have ever seen dancing to Da L.E.S during the live performances. I also met Vashtie, who I love and I managed to make it onto her blog, which excites me beyond even my own comprehension. Yeah yeah I know I'm supposed to be blogging about a pair of strappy sandals or espadrilles, but seriously these Supremebeing Stitch sneakers from their Capsule Collection at Stuttafords could be a welcome addition to my summer wardrobe. Canvas, lightweight and in this great colour I can totally see many a summer days picnicking at Zoo Lake spent in these sneakers, my floral silk shorts and a white vest. I love summer!

You know Robert Verdi, the guy who used to host Fashion Police before Joan and her crew took over? Well, he (because he’s famous I guess), got his Van’s customized using some of his old Hermès silk scarves. I know he did this so that he could be the only person with these customised Hermès Van’s, but honestly, someone at Van’s and Hermès should consider running atleast one pair and selling it to jealous public like myself.

I really want to write something about the past week I had, but what does one say about a week where I got to meet blogger Bryan Boy and go to the Marie Claire Prix d'Excellance de la Mode Awards, and then on top of all of that hang out with Cape Town based bloggers at the bloggers workshop at Tjing Tjing Bar in Cape Town?

I had a lot of fun, which is why I barely have any photos, and for that reason I think I need to invest in one of those "camera camera's "- the ones that'll remind me to take photos because its hanging from my neck and not sitting tucked away in my clutch bag and stop drinking champagne.
