Thithi Nteta has a CV that reads like a messy love story with multiple lovers. A messy love story that has her working full time for herself as a Jack or Jacqueline of all trades. From blogger, to project manager, stylist and publicist for THE WKND SOCIAL to amateur writer, Thithi has managed to really build her portfolio career around the things she loves to do: fashion, beauty, lifestyle and events and the fact that she is obsessed with just being insanely organised.
After leaving her role as regional marketing manager at Red Bull South Africa, Thithi decided to focus more on her blog www.teeteeiswithme.com and found that the more she put in, the more she got out. With a press coverage portfolio made up of repeat features in Elle Magazine, Grazia, Marie Claire, Sunday Times, Destiny Magazine and television and radio interviews on Sistahood on e-Tv, Yfm and PowerFM, Thithi knows that these opportunities have all been as a result of hard work and making sure that her relationships from her role as senior PR manager at Styling Concepts were maintained in a genuine way.
Giving the blog a lot more hours in the day also resulted in more brand collaborations. To date she has collaborated with Mr Price as a guest stylist on their Denim and Tees campaign, participated in Jameson Whiskey’s The Thread’s as a style spotter alongside other cultural documenters, has run campaigns for Nescafé Dolce Gusto on her platform and collaborated with brands such as Levi's, TopShop, Stuttafords and Sunglass Hut.
Thanks to the thoughts she has shared on her blog about various things from her severe distaste for kitten heels or how much she loves a certain fashion app, Thithi has had the opportunity to write a couple of words for the print versions of magazine’s such as Marie Claire, Elle Magazine, Grazia, Edgars Club Magazine, Voila and Cleo Magazine and that Glamour Magazine’s website have regularly looked to her as a contributor.
Believing firmly that, “We all have has many hours in the day as Beyonce” Thithi has been described as a workaholic. Which is why parallel to running her blog she still works as a freelance stylist. Her styling experience started at Cosmopolitan Magazine and since then she has done work for Voila!, A Fashion Friend and Gaschette Magazine, as well as created looks for Bonang Matheba, 5fm’s Poppy Ntshongwana, Erica Elle, DJ Euphonik and LeAnne to name a few as well as done wardrobe for Khuli Chana and Reason music videos.
On top of all that she still finds time to work as a project manager for clients who require someone who barely sleeps and co-host a monthly event called THE WKND SOCIAL with a collective called The Other Girls.
It’s not all work and no play. To tear herself away from her laptop, Thithi spends time with her family and friends, plans summer holidays, starts DIY projects, road runs to clear her head, reads, shops online and pretends when the packages arrive that they are presents that she didn’t pay for, attempts on a monthly basis to make the perfect homemade taco shell and plans how she will take DJing lessons.
